Be on a journey to rediscover yourself through a guided journey to nurture strong family bonds.

WAY Family Bootcamp will be held in a beautiful oasis just outside of Brussels, Belgium.

WAY is a concept to bring in different elements of wellness by integrating music, cooking, healing and yoga into a 3 day event. Our objective is to find you - a balanced body, mind and spiritual soul which we often neglect, while also nurturing strong family bonds. We will spend 3 days (2 nights) nestled in nature at Radhadesh Retreat Centre, conducting wholesome sessions. We will be providing parents and their young ones wellness education and experience, in a fun and fulfilling way.

SPEAKERS

ANDREW JOHNSON - Improv Coach

Andrew lived the cliche of having a lifelong love of acting but being convinced by his family that was not a real job. He studied Psychology at Carleton University and worked for several years as a counsellor, a pastor in the Canadian penal system, and a client advocate in a psychiatric institute. After many years as a small business owner and property investor he chose to return to university attending Queen’s University pre-medical program specialising in human anatomy. Remembering that his first love had been theatre he attended theatre school in Washington DC where he concurrently became a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Reiki lineage. He came full circle by spending several years working in movies, tv and theatre as an actor, director, stunt man, and stunt coordinator. He now combines his experience in counselling, anatomy and performing to help people find their own self-expression.

JOLENE LOH - Energy Coach / Chef

Jolene was a born traveller. At a very young age she decided Malaysia was not home for her – it was somewhere else. As she entered the borders of Africa, her spiritual journey began and she embarked into Energy Healing. She’s been meditating and experiencing different energies in nature, temples, ancient monuments around the world. She’s fascinated with Egyptian Goddesses and a believer in Love, Peace and Happiness.

She started ITSJOLENE.BE, an online platform serving people who are seeking for food & wellness service. Join her to rediscover your energy-body.
 

ALICE VANDE VOORDE - Music Coach

Alice: “Guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, singer and composer, Alice Vande Voorde was passionate for musical eclecticism from an early age.

Moving from rock to hip-hop, from pop to electro, from french folk to world and classical music, her various artistic projects have allowed her to collaborate with many musicians including The Stranglers, Ghinzu, Noe Preszow, Marie Warnant, La Chiva Gantiva,Faon Faon, Sacha Toorop, and Bo Waterschoot. She participates in studio recordings (Pias, Freaksville Records, etc) and performs on stage both in Belgium and internationally (Europe, Morocco, Vietnam, Canada, etc).

She’s a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Mons (ARTS2) in Composition of Applied and Interactive Music under Jean-Luc Fafchamps and Denis Pousseur. She has composed soundtracks for films and documentary directors, for theatre and for [sound illustration, did you mean audio transcriptions or did you mean actually drawing sound illustrations?) for museums/exhibitions.

MÉLODIE - Yoga Coach

Mélodie let yoga into her life when she discovered its benefits during her challenging student life in Paris. She knew she wanted to be a teacher ever since to spread this amazing tool. She has been discovering new ways to practice yoga across the UK, Spain, Brazil, Poland, France, and New Zealand (where she worked for a year in a yoga studio). She’s currently based in Brussels where she is certified as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.

Her approach to yoga is down-to-earth and accessible to all. Yoga is not only about performing a handstand or other funky poses but rather going with the flow and doing what feels good in the moment. She is a forever student of yoga - because nothing compares to that post-yoga bliss.

AL (aka Alice) - Partnership Manager

Al (she/they) moved to Belgium a year ago and has spent her time completing a Masters in Cultural Studies and engaging in various cultural and activist projects. With specific interests in intersectional queer and feminist issues and a background in psychology and social work. Al will be heading up Partnership to help bring in the right partners into this project.
